Reviewer Recruitment and Eligibility Policy

The VIMS Journal of Physical Therapy (VIMSJPT) actively seeks qualified researchers to serve as reviewers and contribute to maintaining the high quality of its peer-review process. Reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, research expertise, and commitment to advancing scholarly communication in the field of physical therapy.

Reviewer Recruitment Process

  1. Invitation by the Journal Office:
    • The journal office identifies potential candidates and contacts them directly to invite their participation as reviewers.
  2. Direct Applications from Interested Researchers:

        Researchers who wish to offer their services as reviewers can also reach out directly via email at                   vimsptcrj@gmail.com.

    • Applicants are required to submit:
      • An up-to-date CV or résumé.
      • A completed reviewer application form, which will be provided by the journal office.

Eligibility Criteria for Reviewers

To maintain high standards, reviewers must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  1. Educational and Professional Qualifications:
    • A postgraduate degree with at least 15 years of experience in the relevant field, or
    • A Ph.D. or higher qualification in the field of physiotherapy or related disciplines.
  2. Research and Publication Record:
    • At least three peer-reviewed journal publications in the last five years in reputable journals of comparable impact and scope.
  3. Active Research Involvement:
    • Reviewers must be actively engaged in research, ensuring their familiarity with current methodologies and advancements in the field.
